The Dialogue of Opposites

Interior design project for apartment in Milan

An apartment in the heart of the Lombard capital, in a building of early twentieth century characterized by neo-Gothic elements, of about 170 square meters. The interior and furniture renovation has put in highlights the focal points of this house: the heights of the ceilings are enhanced by illuminated plaster moldings, the original parquet and majolica floors in the services brought back to new life, the large windows on the outside focused by white paneling. The project shall reflect the procedure of intervention typical of Villata studio, which cohabits historical elements with technological interventions, lighting and contemporary aesthetics, for practical housing projects as well as from high aesthetic standards and strong character. Wardrobes of the eighteenth-century dialogue with modern Scandinavian armchairs and artworks, between antique Caserta’s majolica and contemporary furnishings. For a new living between history and modernity.
