Ninety × Four

INTERIOR DESIGN FOR A PRIVATE APARTMENT

Neglected for more than 50 years, this “old Milanese” apartment won the hearts of a cosmopolitan couple with two children who realised its potential.

It was a challenging project: organising living space for four people in just 90 square metres.

The studio carried out a complete renovation, tailoring the spaces, retaining the existing layout marked by the original doors and creating full-height storage space.

Bespoke furniture is combined with striking contemporary pieces and a selection of family objects.

The historic parquet flooring has been juxtaposed with a new reclaimed wood floor and cement tiles in the entrance hall.

Strong character wallpapers are used in the bedrooms to create a cohesive aesthetic and, in some cases, to cover hidden doors and cupboards.

Each room has been carefully planned, each corner designed to offer comfort and harmony, where design intertwines with everyday life.
