Collaboration with Patricia Urquiola on a feasibility study for a property sales centre on the north-east coast of Africa
The central idea of the project is to merge the natural beauty of the region with its history, creating a continuous flow between inside and out. Large windows and the use of natural materials such as marble and recompacted stone help to integrate the building harmoniously with the surrounding sand and sea. The marble patterns are inspired by traditional hand-woven carpets, while the layout of the spaces promotes a sense of openness and airiness. The use of cultural references reminiscent of feluccas, traditional African boats, and patterns that evoke the beauty of hand-woven carpets, reflects a deep connection to the historical roots of the site. The design is not only functional, but tells a story that combines tradition, culture and the contemporary.
